Mount Brown Lookout Trail ~ Snyder Lake Trail ~ Glacier National Park
Google™ Map of Mount Brown & Snyder Lake Trails. Sperry Glacier is on the right edge of the map. Sperry Glacier is best viewed in Hybrid Mode. Mount Brown is best viewed in Terrain Mode. Snyder Lake is in the cirque between them. Snyder Lake is a nice steady hike with great views. There are actually two lakes, you can't see the upper lake from Snyder Lake & there is no trail to the upper lake. I've been told it's pretty much a scramble through thick underbrush. Mount Brown Lookout Trail is one of the steepest trails in the park. I made it 2/3 of the way on my first attempt and plan on getting to the Mount Brown Lookout by mid August of 2008. This is a brutal trail. To understand this view it's best to start in Terrain to get place names then Hybrid for a birds eye view of the park.
Note: The Browser Refresh Button brings you back to were you started. Don't you wish that hiking could be so easy. To identify the Glaciers use the Terrain Button. You can zoom in closer in Hybrid Mode then you can in Terrain Mode.
If you don't see a map then your using an old version of Internet Explorer.
